– Now I recall the statements made at the Real Madrid General Assembly, which I didn't have a chance to comment on, and now that I am in Andorra, I can do so. I think they are out of place and they show the 'barcelonitis' that Real Madrid has. It seems they need to talk about Barça to justify I don't know what. They are present at every moment in the Negreira legal process, which they are stretching like chewing gum because they know there is nothing there, but it is a way to justify something that is not true: Barça has never bribed a referee, and referees generally do not favor Barça; they have favored Real Madrid their entire lives.
– For example, in the last matchday, Real Madrid scored two goals where, in my opinion, it is obvious that Bellingham touches the ball with his arm, and on the second one, Vinícius breaks Iñaki [Peña]'s nose. Those two goals should not have been allowed, and then Barça would be La Liga leader now.
– They have a persecution complex regarding the best era in Barça's history. They didn't like that Barça was a global benchmark during the years 2004–2015, when it was hegemonic. That is why they want to look for justifications that lead nowhere. We were the team that played the best. We were a team recognized, admired, and valued for what we presented. Valued for what we did and admired for how we did it. We won many titles, and Barça's game was admired all over the world, so don't look for excuses typical of those who don't know how to lose. But if they are immersed in 'barcelonitis', I am delighted, because these are usually periods when Barça is successful and triumphs.
– If that is not an attempt to influence the referees, then explain it to me well. Everyone knows perfectly well that Real Madrid's TV tries to influence the referees every week. It is shameful. You cannot be so cynical as to claim that referees favor Barça. You only have to look historically at the presidents of the Referees Committee, who were Real Madrid socios (members) and made no secret of it.
– After the statements at the General Assembly and the attacks on the La Liga president, I am starting to have bad thoughts. I myself have had my ups and downs with Javier Tebas, but he is an honorable man who performs his function with great passion. We have a normal relationship, not a privileged one, and we don't expect one. It's simply a normal relationship. Meanwhile, Real Madrid has a conflictive relationship with the League, they are obsessively focused on removing him and will want to appoint someone to that position. That strategy does not inspire my confidence. Tebas does everything he can for the good of La Liga, and that's why I suspect that under the influence of Real Madrid, they are trying to remove him, but to put whom in?
